About ME

I am a scientist by training and profession, but have always enjoyed crafting. My jewelry designs are largely inspired by the natural world. I am self-taught, and first started making macramé and bead bracelets and lanyards, mostly for myself or as gifts for family. This evolved quickly into designs using copper, sterling silver, and gold filled wire. I’ve dabbled in chainmaille for a time. Jewelry design for me is about taking on new challenges. Lately I’m back to macrame, but in a micro format, and I’m currently exploring polymer clay. The twisty Christmas trees remain one of my signature designs. Custom work is probably my favorite thing to do, so please contact me if there’s a special piece you want for someone. I’m also always happy to do repairs on your favorite broken bracelet or necklace that sits unhappily in your jewellery box, or to use my tumbler to shine those rings back to their former glory. Just ask! When I’m not editing manuscripts, doing research, or making jewelry, you will find me in my garden. My passions are plants, pugs, and my orange kitties.
